Fun at Flow State!

I just returned from providing chiropractic care for the participants at the Flow State Mountain Bike Festival at Mt. Ascutney, VT. It’s a gorgeous setting at a former ski hill. There’s no cell service, but who needs it when you have lots of live music, a plethora of delicious food vendors and bike enthusiasts from all over the northeast? It’s the only festival I’ve offered my services for and I do it because athletes need their bodies to be functioning optimally and I can help with that!

Happy Nerves Chiropractic is all about getting people functioning at their best.  My special blend of chiropractic techniques, craniosacral therapy, intuitive healing and reiki maximizes the connection between the brain and body, so all systems can function optimally.  There is no twisting or cracking involved.  A typical session lasts about 15 minutes, but there is no set time…just all the work the body needs.  Care starts with the spine and skull as their integrity is key for the brain, spinal cord and nerves to do what they need to do.  I’m also an expert in extremity joint care, so if shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees or feet are holding someone back, I will set them right.  The best athletes have chiropractors on their health teams because they know chiropractic is for so much more than back pain. It’s all about optimal function!

The most fun difference I noticed working at Flow State rather than in my home office, was the huge changes that happened with one session. My typical clientele is made up of people who have been receiving care from me for years and they don’t usually have any immediate issues. They continue to see me because my care continues to improve their health. At Flow State I was adjusting people just once and getting amazing results!

One woman came to me with an active migraine and left 15 minutes later without one.

Another man had had many knee injuries and now in his 50s, every stroke of the pedal was painful. He had a session with me on Friday, and Saturday, several bike rides later, his knee was still pain free.

Sciatic nerve pain can be one of the most pervasive and invasive pains to experience. A man came to me suffering with that. It was interrupting his sleep and annoying him while walking, biking, living. After his session he walked away pain free. After much more walking, a pain free night of camping and another bike ride, he stopped by to tell me he still had no pain.

It was so much fun to have such big results so quickly. Looking forward to next year’s Flow State!
